Christine Corver, an award-winning fine artist born in the Netherlands, began drawing at the age of five. Coming from a family with an artistic lineage - painters among her ancestors - she was drawn to art from an early age.
Her favourite toys were paper and pencils, laying the foundation for her lifelong path as a visual artist.

For over twelve years, she studied various disciplines, including sculpture, portrait, and figure drawing, and worked on commissioned portraits during live sessions mainly in the aquarel techniques. Continuing her artistic journey, she established herself as a recognized photographer, publishing her work in numerous medical reports, business magazines, and on renowned CD labels.

After moving to Switzerland with her family in 2007, she committed herself to painting in oils and cold wax in her atelier almost daily.
She enjoys creating large, abstracted landscapes, finding inspiration directly on location as in Park Seleger Moor in Rifferswil (picture). Over the past few years, she has worked with the Munsell colour method to refine her control of hue, value, and chroma, developing layered, abstracted landscapes of clarity and depth.
Her dynamic brushwork and sensitivity to colour also extend to smaller, more intricate works, such as bird studies and still-life compositions.

Her works have been exhibited in numerous group and solo shows in both the Netherlands and Switzerland since 2008. For two consecutive years, she has given plein air workshops at Park Seleger Moor. Since moving to the Zürich Lake area, she is planning a plein air workshops at Zürichsee, in spring 2026.
