Biography

Christine Corver, an Award Winning Fine Artist, born in the Netherlands, started drawing when she was five years old. Her paper and pencils represented her toys. In her family ancestors there were painters and actors.

She took classes in various disciplines as sculpturing, portrait and model classes for many years and worked in commission on portraits in the aquarel technique during live sessions.
Continuing her work as an artist, she established herself as a recognized photographer and published her work in numerous medical reports, business magazines and renowned CD labels.

In 2004, Christine and her family moved to Switzerland where she works in oils and cold wax in her atelier almost on a daily basis.
Her style shows a fast movement of clear and vibrant strokes of the brushes, ultimately creating a unique purity of authentic imagery.
She enjoys working on larger canvases depicting abstracted landscapes for which she finds inspiration on location, up to a figurative still life. In order to have more freedom in her figurative works, she started only recently, painting with her left hand as well to let go of the control while searching for the feeling and atmosphere of the subject.

For 3 years in a row, she has been giving Plein Air workshops in Park Seleger Moor. Since her move to the area of Zürich Lake, she is considering providing plein air workshops at Zürichsee in 2024.

Her works were exhibited at many group and solo exhibitions in the Netherlands and in Switzerland as from 2010.
